The Government is not considering putting any cap on the number of vehicles including passenger cars registered every year. This information was given by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises G.M. Siddeshwara in a written reply in Lok Sabha on December 8, 2015.
Meanwhile, the years 2013-14 and 2014-15 have only seen a negative growth when it comes with domestic sales of diesel vehicles that include passenger cars, utility vehicles and vans.
